| 5 | Bobby Land | I'm sure I can't say anything that hasn't already been said before. Why else would I be here... |
| 6 | Tonya Higgins | I signed a contract with clearwire and then had to move for employment reasons. I am still required to complete my contract or pay an early termination fee even though they can no longer provide me service. While looking at their web site I found that they will renew your contract if you make a change to your service, and the early termination fee applies even if you are sent on Military leave! |
| 7 | Anonymous | I signed a one year contract which ended in Sept., but when I tried to cancel my service I was told I had another 10 months on my contract since they automatically renewed it.
The representative I talked to could not find where it says Clearwire has the right to renew without consent, but then told me that an e-mail was sent and even if I didn't read it or even if it ended up in the Spam folder that they have the right to renew if I didn't contact them.
I'm being charged $180 for early termination.
I immediately sent a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. |
| 8 | Kyle Albrecht | I have fallen victim to Clearwires trap. They missrepresented thier product and the point of purchase, failed to support the product and put me through unreasonable steps and financial penalties for canceling a service that they frankly did not deliver. This company obviously feels they are above consumer protection laws and someone needs to stop them. Please let me know how I can help bring Clearwire to justic and protect other consumers. |

| 10 | Gary Fiber | Called twice and have yet to receive the send back label. Was told to give the modem to someone else who may want the service and get them to pay the monthly fee. |
| 11 | Martina Roberge | I loved my clearwire service but then I moved out of their coverage area and when I went to go cancel my service they told me I wasn't up until July of '09. I told them I signed an agreement in July '05 and that it was only a 2-year agreement. The lady on the phone told me about automatic renewal and b/c they didn't hear from me about it otherwise they just did it.....for another 2 years!!! When I questioned her about why Clearwire didn't call or email me about my approaching renewal date she just stated its in the contract - so in other words I'm S.O.L. and it sucks to be me. Now I'm in search of somebody to take over my service or pay a $200 early termination fee. |
| 12 | Anonymous | I am the new ANTI-EVANGELIST for Clearwire. I will post my story about CLEARWIRE all over the internet blogs and forums. I will make sure no one else signs up with this terrible company. Also, Clearwire needs to fire Jeta (extension #5276) who has no idea about what customer service is. I signed up with clearwire 6 months ago. When I signed up, I was getting 3 bars on my modem, which is just descent. However, I noticed the signal is intermittent and would drop to 2 and 1 on rainy and windy days. So, I called clearwire trying to solve this issue. I left many messages to have someone call back to schedule a on-site service, however, after 3 attempts, no one calls back. Now, after more than 20 phone calls to clearwire, I'm still stuck with the terrible company and they would not let me go without paying $200 early termination fee, which I think is absurd. Afterall, it is not my fault their service is not stable. How was I suppose to know the signal would drop by so much? I've speaking to this ignorant supervisor named "Jeta" ext. 5276 who has no idea how to handle a customer dispute. All she wants to do is keep sending a idiotic contractor named "Fad" over to my house to check out the signal and Fad would tell Jeta "there's no problem," and that's because he came on a perfect sunny day. So, I am sitting here with a situation where I cannot get out of this terrible company without paying $200.00 out of my pocket. So, the conclusion is, clearwire may be little bit cheaper than other broadband companies, but "DO NOT USE CLEARWIRE..PERIOD" I would rather pay about $10.00 more and sign up with VERIZON Fiber Optics, which is MUCH MUCH more stable and knows how to handle a customer.
PLEASE EVERYONE, DON'T USE CLEARWIRE!!!!! THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PLANET...AND DON'T FALL FOR THEIR 2 YEAR CONTRACT, IT'S A MOUSETRAP. WHO CARES IF THEY GIVE YOU A FREE PRINTER OR $100 CASH BACK. THIS ALL MEANS NOTHING WHEN YOU'RE STUCK WITH AN UNSTABLE CONNECTION FOR 2 YRS |
| 13 | Wai Wong | Clearwire cancelled my subscription claiming that I am over-using the bandwidth that I paid for. Their technical service provides this outrageous solutions which is to allow them to look into the data in my PC. And by refusing this non-sense solution, they actually terminate my internet service and charge me for a $200 early termination fee! I feel like I am totally ripped off by their service and I urge the government to provide the adequate support of consumer rights from this corporation undertaking deceptive marketing strategy. |
| 14 | Anonymous | Speeds are worse than dial-up and even after the sales person lied about being faster than comcast highspeed cable, they still won't waive the cancellation fee. |
| 15 | Daniel | yes clearwire automatically renewed my contract then charged me 180 cancellation fee!!! Clearwire is horrible |
| 16 | Anonymous | End Clearwire term fees! |
| 17 | Beatriz | I have had nothing but problems and no help from anyone. My modem has not been working and they expect me to pay to cancel my account although nothing has been working…I don’t think so. www.clearwiresucks.com |
| 18 | Krystine McCants | 1) Their service did not perform as advertised
2) I spoke with them after 9 months about disconnecting the service. I was then told about the $180 early termination fee. I told them I would finish out my contract, as that would be cheaper, but did not want to renew it.
3) I was not billed the 13th month. I believed this was due to my contract having been cancelled. I found out later that it was considered the "promotion" I was accepting and therefore "renewing" my contract.
4) Called after 14 months, after the term of my original contract, to cancel and was told that because I did not call within 30 days of the end date, the contract automatically renewed and I was stuck for another year unless I paid the early termination fee, as I had already "accepted" the "promotion". I was referred to the terms of service.
5) I reviewed the terms of service and noted that it said that near the end of the contract date I would be propted to either renew the contract, go into a month-to-month, or cancel. I was never prompted. I spoke with a customer service rep about the prompt and he informed me that a "prompt" meant that I had to call in.
6) I spoke with another customer service rep and tried to spaek to someone with any authority. They would not. I then told them to bill me the early termination fee and cancel my contract. I was informed that they could not do that until they recieved my modem, and was instructed NOT to return it to a sales location. I was told that a shipping slip would be e-mailed to me. No shipping slip was e-mailed.
7) I reviewed the terms of service again and found a paragraph that stated that the modem had to be returned within 30 days of cancellation, implying that the cancellation could be done first. I tried again to cancel and was told I needed to return the modem first. Again no packing slip. I am still being billed every month for a service that doesn't work as advertised and that I was willing to pay to discontinue.
8) I am considering a lawsuit. |

| 22 | Anonymous | I started training to work for clear wire but had to leave because I knew something was shady about the company and I don't feel comfortable screwing people over. |
| 23 | Wendy Wallin | Same as most -- service quality was extremely poor and slow, didn't work with Vonage as promised, and when I tried to return it, they said they are charging me $215. This company is clearly a scam. The things they're willing to say to you on the phone are unbelievable. Sad when our society reaches this level -- the whole company seems like a collection of criminals. Please contact your state attorney general if you've been burned. |
| 24 | Alison Zaca | Can we organize a class action law suit??? |
| 25 | James Hollis | Clearwire wants to charge me $180 termination fee because I bought a house outside there coverage. Thats BS....I can see paying fee if I choose to cancela and am in there area. Now I pay it or pay for a service that can't provide. This is a bad business practice. I filed a complaint with the FTC. |
| 26 | Justin Hunter | I'm active duty and about to deploy for 6 months, and they still won't let me out of the contract. The rep lied and said they had a military clause that made the contract void if I were deployed overseas. |

| 30 | Tom Varghese | I have been using clearwire for the last 7 months and service they provided was worse....Even after several complaints I am still receiving poor signals. When I asked them to cancel the service, they asks for $150 termination fee...I dont how they can ask the termination while providing poor quality service. Please take the proper action agaist these fraud people |
| 31 | Melissa Morrions | Clearwire, unknowingly to me, automatically enrolled me into another year long contract at the end of my contract term???? Is this legal....I have never heard of this before...I want to see a class action lawsuit..this is aburd. |
| 32 | Marlene Torchia | I am very upset at Clearwire! I am in the Military and have pcs orders to San Diego California where there is no Clearwire service. The crazy thing is I know people in the Military who got out of their contract because of orders but they will not offer it to me. They say there is no Military clause and that they never had one. Bullshit! I know this is not true becaue other people have done it. I even tried to give them a name of someone who had their contract cut and they said they were not allowed to look up someones information. Now If I cut off service I am going to have to pay $180 in termination fees which I refuse to pay!!! My advice to anyone reading this, DO NOT GET CLEARWIRE! They have poor customer service and should be shut down. Oh yeah and their service sucks! If it is raining out forget it you won't get service. |

| 43 | TAMMY WATSON | Clearwire trapped me too! If they would let me cancel my service there"s no way i can afford $200. That"s crazy! I thought i was alone in this battle until i decided to try to cancel over the internet after calling multiple times. If EVERYONE that clearwire has lied to and trapped sighns this petition hopefully we can stop them from doing this to anyone else and get this off our credit report. |
