Primrose Gardens - Clean Street

 Primrose Gardens - Clean Street

We are fed up of living in a rubbish filled street with rats and mice!

We support a clean Primrose Gardens where the residents:

- take out household waste on Wednesday mornings

- take out Recycling on Friday mornings

- bring in their green, blue and brown containers and bags by Friday evenings at the latest

- never leave random waste on the street or hanging on the rails

Camden Council have many facilities to recycle and re-use, such as the Regis Road centre, the mini-recycling centres located on Haverstock Hill and at the bottom of Primrose Gardens on England's Lane and offer home collections for many goods.

3 years ago Comments: Dear S. Gray, Thank you for your comments. The petition was updated a few weeks ago to show the new collection schedule. Please let me know if you still see a reference to Tuesdays and Fridays in the petition text. It would be nice to form a group of residents who care about this issue to take it further with our councillors and our Public Realm Officer. If anyone is interested, please contact me via the "Contact the Petition Sponsor" link on the right of the peition screen.

3 years ago Comments: The information in this petition is not correct; it should read Wednesdays and Fridays not Tuesdays and Fridays. I am angry that I was not informed by the council about this change. They will be the first to fine us but the last to inform us. Does food waste count as recycling or household waste? I have been told that the food waste does not go into the composting scheme but gets taken to edmonton for incineration; is this true? So I am at a loss as to whether I should bother to collect it separately and if I do then which day should I put it out on the street..........Wednesday or Friday? We could also do with a new set of pavements and decent levels of street maintenance, cleaning and weeding. In addition has there been any ideas about cutting its use as a cut through for traffic by either putting in sleeping policemen or pedestrianisation of the street except for residents. Perhaps one entrance only at either end of the street? Just some ideas. The big problem about rubbish is that the council does not inform many of the tennants in the street as to what the situation is and and what type of reccyling goes on on which days. There are many flats on short term lease (6 months) and they come and they go and the new ones are not given the necessary information; so regular posting of the relevant information would be good.
