It is unacceptable. I am not watching game 4 in LA that is playing now. I will hear the score later.Flag

This level of intentionalaly physically destroying an apponent MUST be severlly curtailed. Hockey is not hockey anymore - it has become a National Disgrace. Too much money too much violence.Flag

Name: Kamala Rao on Apr 19, 2012Comments: This is the reason I can't watch hockey. Every time I watch a game, I enjoy it until a bunch of grown men start acting like barbaric idiots. What does this teach children about how to solve problems? We have enough violence in our society with out it being glorified by Canada's national sport.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 19, 2012Comments: I love watching great players, and the Pittsburgh/Philadelphia series this year is a perfect example. There are many great players on both of these teams, but the shenanigans have gotten out of control. If they hadn't kept scoring more than 10 goals a game I wouldn't have put up with the brutality. Game over NHL - change it NOW.Flag

Name: Peter Wood on Apr 19, 2012Comments: Ban fighting. Consider mandatory minimums for certain suspendable offenses. Suspension duration should have some relationship to the amount of time the injured player is unable to play. Use video replay during games to catch offenses missed by refs. Punish the act and intent even if injury is minimal.Flag

Name: Kurt Penner on Apr 19, 2012Comments: I agree it has gotten ridiculous and disgusting too often. I also agree it is time to stop rationalizing player violence is the only way to "police" the game -- in-game video refereeing could help with just calls and dealing with violence of various kinds. Evolve already!!!Flag

Name: Matt H on Apr 20, 2012Comments: Create a disciplinary body that is separate from the NHL and the NHLPA. That way Bettman and the business and finance side of the NHL has no influence over the proceedings and subsequent rulings. The NHLPA also is then subject to said rulings and it becomes an unbiased process.Flag

Name: Jim Adair on Apr 20, 2012Comments: The disgusting elbow by Duncan Keith on Daniel Sedin was an obviously malicious attack with no possible other intent than to take a star player out of the game just before the playoffs. A two minute minor called on the ice and the subsequent 5 game suspension were pure bush league. Then the paltry fine to Weber for deliberately smashing Datsyuk's face into the glass was a complete joke. If the NHL was serious about cleaning up the game and getting rid of headshots to protect the players these types of non-hockey plays would be severely punished. Keith should have been gone for the first round of the playoffs at least and Weber sat for a game or two.Flag
