The goal of this petition is to address and pressure the government to: (1) Introduce legislation that supports clean energy alternatives (wind power, hydrogen, solar, CNG) as soon as possible. (2) Reduce American dependence on outside sources of energy being crude oil or any other fuel source. The key being "energy independence". (3) Fight global climate change. There are many organizations that are already advertising for this cause. They need voter support. One such cause that I feel strongly about is that of T. Boone Pickens. His plan has a good likelihood of success if the incoming President receives a mandate for change. We owe it to future generations to fix this issue which has developed over the past 40 years. Act now. If for any reason you have questions, I can be reached at energyreformnow@gmail.com. Thanks in advance for your support!

My name is Phillip "Ryan" Watson. I am a Captain in the Army who served in Iraq in 2003. I am currently a Comptroller for the Department of Defense who has visibility of congressional budgets and the congressional decision-making (mostly indecision) process. I commute to work via metro so the cost of energy only indirectly affects me through inflation of food commodities and other consumer products. I am doing this for my family and friends who have been greatly impacted by fuel prices and the average American Citizen. Please join me and sign the petition to fix this issue. It's an issue we cannot continue to ignore. My goal is to attain at a minimum 100,000 signatures through online and written methods. Please sign this petition and send to as many concerned Americans as possible. Thank you for your time. - Ryan Watson
