Name: Dorothy Hachey on Jan 22, 2010Comments: If you really have NB'ers near and dear to your heart Cheryl Lavoie, I plead with you not to side with Shawn Graham and beg him NOT to sell NB power to anyone. If we needed power why not buy our power from Quebec rather than giving it to Quebec. Maybe you or I will not notice but believe me the generation that is coming up behind us really will. DO NOT SELL NB POWER KEEP IT IN NB Thank you and have your self a great day Dorothy HacheyFlag

Name: Arthur Hachey on Jan 22, 2010Comments: Just when I though that things could not be any worst for NBers...Your Lieberal party has made us the laughing stock of all of Canada. You and a handfull of MLA's can al least salvage some faith that some of us got left in politicians and do the RIGHT thing,,VOTE against this insidious deal that would destroy our soveriengty and our future. Buying power at 7.35 cents from HQ and selling that same power at 5.3 cents to Industry does not make sense to ANYONE and will Improvish NB beyond recovery. The first ones to go against this deal stand a small chance for re-election...the rest....will be history...not well remembered..Flag

Name: Kent And Debbie Branch on Jan 29, 2010Comments: We do not want NBPower sold. This second deal is still not in the best interest of New Brunswick and its people. We can and would run NBPower properly if it would become a business and not a government owned entity. The liberal party will pay the ultimate price for this foolish decision - but apparently nobody in the party cares! The majority of New Brunswickers (4 out of 5) are truly against this 2nd deal (just as they were the first) but our voices are falling on deaf ears - until election day!Flag

Name: Debbie Branch on Jan 30, 2010Comments: I want to be able to vote on the sale of NB Power. I believe that I am a shareholder of NB Power and as such have a right to vote on the most important decision in New Brunswick. I voted indirectly for Shawn Graham in the last election but he has rescinded his promise not to sell NB Power - can I now rescind my vote for him? New Brunswicker's are loudly saying NO to this second deal just as they did the first. Why is Shawn Graham scared to put the sale to a vote? Is it because Frank McKenna told him not to? Why did we not have anyone from NB Power negotiate the deal? I'm sure that not all of them are incompetent! How can a hydro deal be made without consulting any hydro people on our end? None of this makes sense - please let us vote on the sale of NB Power. That's all we want. Even Quebec has referendums for important issues such as this. Let New Brunswick have a referendum. All of us cannot understand why our elected MLA's and Ministers are not speaking for their people! Where do they work and who do they work for? US!Flag

I for one and my wife feel the same way and if it goes through , the liberals will not have our support in the next election . bring it on !!!Flag

Name: Ron Jessulat on Feb 12, 2010Comments: This deal was negotiated without transparency and promoted after the fact with endless amounts of "spin". It may be that there are some benefits (not much to residential customers) but there are also some negative implications which have not been openly debated in public forum. A deal of this magnitude should be decided upon by all citizens either in a referendum or election.Flag
