Draft Wesley Clark for Vice President!

Today, more than ever, we need General Wesley K. Clark in the White House. Obviously, Clark is not going to be President this time around -- unfortunately. However, he can be Vice President, which is not too shabby either. So, let\'s make a strong push for the Democratic nominee to select Wes Clark as their running mate in 2008 . Whoever that nominee turns out to be, General Clark will provide tremendous national security and foreign policy credentials to complement the ticket. Clark\'s reputation is stellar, his vision for America highly progressive - in the best "Teddy Roosevelt progressive" sense -- and his public speaking skills extraordinary. Don\'t believe me, watch this (http://youtube.com/watchv=JpMV2G3TajA&search=wesley%20clark). Wow. In short, this petition urges the leading Democratic contenders to publicly announce that Wes Clark is on their short-short-short list for running mate. Then, whichever one of them wins the nomination should follow through by picking Clark to be the next vice president of the United States. Thanks.

7 years ago Comments: Wesley Clark has the executive experience as a 4 star general that Obama lacks. He successful conducted the Kosovo campaign, and would bolster Obama's foreign policy credentials. His supposed gaffe about "Riding in an airplane and getting shot down" was in direct response to a comment that doing so made McCain qualified to be president, and Obama had never done that. In short, Clark was baited. Clark's response even out-of-context is still correct, but in context it seems even more innocent. He was definately not attacking McCain's military record. Clark for VP!
