Hi we are Clacton against turbines.we are organising this petition to highlight our feelings about 5 monster wind turbines which are being erected as i am writing this 21/07/12. The people of Clacton along with the Tendring District Council turned down the planning application for the building of the turbines. The local council and Essex county coucil both denied permission.They were overuled by a government panel which was confirmed by a test case and here we are. According to a local councillor these are the highest onland wind turbines in Europe approximately 600 metres high.These have been built in a field at Bockings Elm on the edge of Clacton.As a clactonite i realise Wind turbines have a place in This brave new environmently friendly world of ours.We have about 50 or more offshore.This though unsightly we can live with these.We just cannot understand why they had to build the extra 5 onshore not at sea.As a result we have a lose-lose situation for Clacton.We are so low in the political pecking order that the peoples votes were bypassed.This is not democracy.We now how 40 years of eyesore to look at.We demand action to remove the turbines and put them offshore.Please add your name to this petition.Today it is Clacton..Tomorrow Colchester There is no escape from this unless we Stop it now.
