Comments: If the bus drivers had not tried to fight for their rights, the whole of singapore would not know the problems they faced and SMRTs lack of concern for its employees. Why should the bus drivers pay for SMRTs mistakes?? And to think we pay so much for bus and mrt trips! Where do all these money go to? Why is it not to the bus drivers who deserve it but to the rich company?

Comments: Please sign this petition to show solidarity for the SMRT bus drivers who had the courage to organize and strike in protest against unfair labor practices. It's time for Singapore to progress into being a first world country.

Comments: This is the result of the dire lack of trade unionism in Singapore which has been muzzled or controlled by the government for the last 30 years.

Comments: SGP's labour laws were formulated in an old era under very different circumstances, when we were struggling for survival. Today, in part encouraged by SGP's highly pro-employer laws, many workers and employees are completely at the mercy of uncaring bosses. NTUC showcases some of the disputes it helped to resolve. But for each "success", how many lie beneath that the public will never never know about? Our labour laws are in urgent need of a thorough revamp.

Comments: I wish for fairer employment laws for all, and more rights given to employees regardless of race and nationalities, for the simple fact with pro employer laws and law firms eager to be and remain on the retaining list of these companies, they are at the overwhelming mercy of employers.
