This petition is in support of the City of Fort Worth to build a park on already zoned and designated land (on Fernbury Drive) in our neighborhood Crestview. Parents need open space to play with their children. Neighbors need an open space to gather as a community. Green spaces build community, and we need to build a stronger community. Research shows that residents of neighborhoods with parks in common spaces are more likely to enjoy stronger social ties than those who do not have places to congregate. In creating the "Crestview Neighborhood Park”, we will accomplish multiple goals such improving our physical and psychological health, strengthen our communities, and make our neighborhood a more attractive places to live. 

Specific Goals

1. To create a well-lit, easily maintained, traditional play ground with swings and slides where parents can bring their children for exercise and entertainment

2. Have age appropriate equipment for children ages 2-5

3. Have age appropriate equipment for children ages 5-12
