Citrus County School Time Change

Superintendent of Citrus County Schools is proposing a change in elementary school times to 9:05. This proposal is being put forth without any input, advice from PTA or School advisory councils and/or parents; which she is not pursuing. This will pose a hardship for all working parents, who will be forced the added expense of before school daycare, or worse yet force those that cannot afford this expense to make a decision to leave their very young children alone to get on a bus. Furthermore, voters should be concerned that the voice of the constituent is not being sought nor heard. A better solution would be to have high school students begin their day at 9:05.
