Stop Solberg Airport Expansion
Readington residents have long enjoyed and valued the rural nature of our township. Expansion of Solberg Airport into a corporate jetport would change the quality of life in Readington and surrounding communities. Noise, pollution, traffic, and safety concerns would negatively impact property values, schools, and the environment throughout the Township.
I urge the Readington Township Committee to continue its efforts to implement permanent limits on the expansion of Solberg-Hunterdon Airport to protect the character and quality of life in our town while enabling the airport to continue as a general aviation airport.

I never imagined this many of us were actually worried about the same thing but seeing the momentum build makes me feel way less like I am shouting into the void. It is wild to think about how all these neighbors are suddenly linked by this one goal because honestly I started this in a frantic mood while sitting at my kitchen table.

Other than the obvious answer of money and greed.....how could the Solberg family not even consider the negative aspect/impact an airport expansion would have on a community? The residents of this community have worked for years to acquire and maintain residences to retire in, to sell for their retirement or to pass on to the next generation of their family. To work that hard for so long and have it totally devalued, is unacceptable (not to mention the everyday noise and safety issues). It's not like there isn't an offer on the table to keep both sides satisfied.

I have heard jet noise from the Morristown airport expansion. It sounds like a rocket is taking off!
I have been here 30 years and was planning to be here for quite a few more. Let's band together to keep Readington a great place to live. I do NOT want to move but will if this goes thru.
We moved here for the peace and quiet not to live next to a corporate runway. The noise is already bad enough without adding more jets!

We live in the flight path. On beautiful sunny days, and evenings we can't enjoy our yard because of the plane noise. We love Readington but can't stand the airport.
