Felicia Green | I am tax payer who believes in the Earned Release Program. I believe in a criminal justice system of earned realease/parole rather than a system of determinate sentencing.
Cheryl Winn | I am a taxpayer and believe in the criminal justice system of earned release/parole rather than a system of determinate sentencing. I am asking you to bring back such a system and to allow all who are under a determinate system to see a parole board.

Jami Hurt | I would like to see those prisoners who have served their time and been rehabilitated to be given a chance to be a free citizen and be a part of society once again.
Bradley Hurt | It is time for criminals to stopped being warehoused. If they have served their time, let them out to work and become viable citizens again.
Roy Johnson |
Maureen Kietzman | There are incidents of unjust convictions, and time generally proves the character of a person. The option of parole should be available to those who have exhibited good character.

Linda Johnson | Some people are in prison for Accountability and never commited the autual crime and have gotten sentences longer then the person who did the actual crime. i believe these people should be able to get an early release.
Ron Johnson | People need a second chance in life. Our prisons are over crowded. Keeping a person till they are 50+ makes reabilatation rediculous. A person in for accountability till they are 50 does nothing for the person or society . They need a chance to prove the ir reabilitation.

Cheryl Rayford | I believe everyone deserves a second chance. In life sometimes we make mistakes and decisions as a child that we not normally make or even consider in an adult mind
Sonja Halsey | I believe eveyone deservers a second chance.

Faytonia Graves | I am a firm believer in that some inmates do deserve second chances earned. I support this petition whole-heartedly. I too like many others on this petition have a significant other (soon-to-be husband), incarcerated. I believe if given him a second chance to restore his debt to society, it will not go unnoticed, unappreciated, nor unrecognized. Anything I can do to participate to show just cause will be appreciated. Let me know. Keeping all inmates in my prayers.
Geannetta Jackson | The lllinois law negating parole is discriminatory against rehabilitated felons and a contradiction to the penal institutions purpose of rehabilitiation. Early Release signifies the prisoner has served his time and will return to society as a productive citizen. Change this LAW!!!!

| 497 | Shirley Jackson | There are some good people that are incarserated
and would do a lot off people good if they were out. |
Jennifer | Let them work for a goal, give them something to help heal them and make them whole again. If everyone has an achievable goal in mind and really works to get there, we will see a drastic drop in prison violence and crimes. This makes a safer place for staff and inmates both. Hopefully it can raise self confidence for inmates and keep them from reoffending, let them know there is hope for them and life after.
