Dear Wake County Commissioners,

The Internet search giant, Google, has announced that they have selected the Raleigh-Durham Metro area as a candidate for the Google Fiber product. This product will provide the citizens of Wake County Internet access at speeds far surpassing the currently available commercial offerings from Time Warner Cable and AT&T. This service gives Wake County the opportunity to move to the front of the line in terms of Internet bandwidth available to it's citizens, providing yet another reason for large corporations to relocate their businesses to our community and attract future residents.

The undersigned implore the commissioners to provide support of this offer, including the following:
- Expedited processing of the Google "Fiber Ready Checklist".
- Expedited permitting and right-of-way, in the event that Google elects to offer the service in our community.
- Lobbying with State government to allow the unencumbered development of a third major competitor in the residential broadband access market.
- Access to Wake County resources to allow Google to accurately obtain scoping data for cost estimates.
