The Star Cinemas in the Sahara Mall in Sharjah refused to compensate or entertain me at all when my wife and I were assaulted by a group of young hooligans that had entered the showing with the sole purpose of harassing viewers. I had up to 6 young males attack me in the dark during the showing of the movie all because I insisted they stop harassing my wife and I.
Had an usher or any form of security been present in the room at the time this never would have happened. I sustained many blows to the head and injuries strictly due to the fact that I had paid to watch the movie and refused to let the assailants rob me of my experience.
I am calling on people who have previously been exposed to rude and inconsiderate individuals during their viewings in cinemas to please not let my experience be in vain and to persuade cinema management all over the Emirates to install security and ushers in our cinemas AT ALL TIMES, including late showings, and to deal with rowdy and offensive individuals on the spot, regardless of their age and nationality.
