Name: Anonymous on Aug 21, 2008Name (first and last names, please): William GladdingComments: This road expansion has been studied for the past 30 years and there is no real need for expansion of the road. With the cost of fuel increasing, traffic should be decreasing in the future. What we really need is an alternative truck route or replacement of the rail lines that were removed some 20 years ago.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 21, 2008Name (first and last names, please): Heather SnowComments: It is crucial for the government to start making decisions that will benefit the health, economic strength, and wellbeing of Ontarians now and in the future. As such, converting viable farmland that is under productive cultivation into a highway bypass that only supports and maintains non-environmentally conscious practices seems ludicrous and short-sighted. Please reconsider your current decision-making practices and goals.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 21, 2008Name (first and last names, please): Gail CorningComments: We who live in the smaller communities of Waterloo Region (particularly Wilmot Township) have had our farmland rezoned to allow such an enormous growth of housing that our quality of life has been severely affected. We need to retain our farms and our wooded areas for both our environmental and physical health. Of course a growing population, unfortunate or not, needs roads on which to travel, but please consider routes that will least affect our ability to raise and get fresh food and maintain our magnificent Ontario landscape.
