We support Obama's plan for fairer taxes as a first step in addressing current tax inequities. Reflecting on Christ's teachings and parables such as "The Widows Mite", we believe this is the right thing to do. Whether we are Republican or Democrat, we understand that asking the wealthy to pay more would be what Christ would want. Furthermore, we promise to reach across party lines in peace urging our representatives to listen to the majority of Americans who have already stated they want to end Bush Era tax cuts for the wealthy in numerous polls.
