Name: Christine Lynne on May 9, 2007Comments: I live in Los Feliz and was walking my dog at 1:30 and saw what looked like a huge mushroom cloud suspended over Griffith Park Observatory! - I had been hiking up the trails several times a week and it will be very sad to see the devastation!! I pray for all the wild life that lost their homes and send Reiki healing to the land to regenerate with new life and for the well being of all the animals and creatures.Flag

Name: Rosemarie on May 9, 2007Comments: Thank you so much for all you do for all of us, continually protecting us and our homes by putting your lives on the line. I was born and raised in San Fernando Valley, so, I'm well aware of just how dedictated the Fire Department is. You saved many homes, including my childhood home when you all tackled a fire that came down Seven Hills and onto Camelsback mountain. My family and I lived down a bit from that mountain, the wash was behind us. You all busted your butts to save our homes, and I always thank God for you, your courage and bravery means more than you will ever know. Thank you, and God Bless you all!Flag

Name: Rita Chahine on May 9, 2007Comments: I live in the Los Feliz area and all night Tuesday was spent praying that the flames would not jump the hill that they were on up at the Observatory. If they would have, we surely would have been in their path. Words cannot express my gratitude to the fire fighters and the pilots who flew all through the night dropping water on the flames. Deepest gratitude.Flag
