On July 6th Chris Weidman faced the greatest mixed martial artist we have ever seen in the sport of MMA, Anderson Silva. Chris defeated him in the 2nd round by TKO and won the MW title. I feel that if Chris Weidman were a true champion he would not accept the MW title the way he won it that night. He would DEMAND a re-match himself. If Chris were a real fighter he wouldn't take what was given to him. He would want to fight a serious Anderson Silva. Not a cocky over confident clown that was in the ring with him that night. I don't hate Chris Weidman....... but to win a title the way he did is embarrassing. I'd feel embarrassed if I was Chris Weidman. Chris is going to tell his grandchildren about how he beat the greatest MMA fighter of all time but it won't be an exciting story. Instead of hearing about how he dominated the champion, they're going to hear about how Anderson Silva basically let him win. Why would a champion want to win a title that way? If Chris Weidman is reading this, you should look deep inside yourself and ask if this is really how you want to be known as beating the greatest of all time. By letting him beat himself.....
