Name: Paul Butcher on Jan 28, 2009Comments: West Haddon relates more to Rugby than Northampton. It is only in recent years that the address has changed from West Haddon, Rugby. It makes no sense in this time trying to change the environment to restrict educational choices just because of county boundariesFlag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 28, 2009Comments: I will be affected by this ruling, I have 2 daughters, one who has taken the 11+ but her younger sister, who is in year 5, will not have the same opportunity. I would seek a phased approach at the least to accommodate children who have an expectation of being able to go to a grammar school.Flag

Name: Mrs Wrist on Jan 28, 2009Comments: I feel strongly about this as my child goes to a small secondary school in Rugby compared to the over subscribed schools of Daventry. She therefore has experienced more opportunities by doing so.Flag

Name: David Sheen on Jan 28, 2009Comments: In order to make the proposed changes Northamptonshire must offer a viable alternative otherwise this is just a further erosion of choice and opportunity. Everyone should be given an opportunity to reach their full potential. This proposed change initiated by the schools of Daventry is a blatant attempt to massage their performance statistics without making any real improvement in the services they offer. People would not make the choice to send their children further away if the local facilities offered the level of educational standards and opportunities expected.Flag

Name: Catherine on Jan 28, 2009Comments: Absolutely disagree with the new proposed policy and would be willing to move house into Warwickshire area to ensure my child fulfills her potential and has the same opportunity to sit the 11+ as her brother did. How does this benefit the town in the long termFlag

Name: M Dean on Jan 28, 2009Comments: This decision is of concern well beyond Warwickshire and Northampton. It represents a serious and unwarranted degradation of the principle of choice for parents and children and is contrary to the spirit and letter of the Admissions Code.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 28, 2009Comments: Why should parents and children be refused choice just because they live in another village or town. Parents could be working in Rugby and therefore making it far easier for dropping children at school. If children are currently in the Rugby School system why should they then be told you cannot progress and have to move schools. I have moved schools as a youngster and it is very traumatic. You loose all your friends, confidence, find it difficult to fit in with other groups - it is hard. Do not force children into this position.Flag

Name: Jane Margieson on Jan 28, 2009Comments: It is wrong I already have a daughter at Rugby High School and this new ruling means her sister will not be able to join. All children locally should have the right to attend Rugby Schools if they and their parents so wish. If Daventry schools are not getting the children they should maybe they should look into their own school for reason why.!!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 28, 2009Comments: I have 4 children and moved to Crick as I believed there would be the opportunity to send my children to school in Rugby. I live only a few miles from the schools in Rugby. If the admissions policy is changed, children in Warwickshire who live even 20 miles from the schools in Rugby can be admitted but my children are ruled out - this is ridiculous.Flag
