Farmers Insurance considers this a \"family member exclusion\" on the policy and it states that \"we do not provide liability coverage for you or any family member or for bodily injury to you or any family member.\" A family member is defined as those living with you and related by blood, marriage, or adoption. Farmers reason for this exclusion is that there is a greater risk of fraudulent claims by the members of the same family. The law of the state of Texas is that in the case of family member exclusion the insurance company must only pay minimum limits. Chloe and her family have been put in a situation that NO family should EVER have to find themselves in!
