Sadly, most of us do not have Katherine Jenkins vocal range or timing. Please revert to only using Choirs so the anthem can sound like 75,000 people singing in unison rather than one person singing and 74,999 trying to keep up.Flag

Name: John Puw on Nov 19, 2006Comments: This is in addition to the original message! The Cwm Rhondda thing at the beginning worked for one or two games. But no longer. It's a horrible embarassment, getting on for what the Scots put on in Murrayfield! The New Zealand Haka is one thing!. But embarassing a nation is another altogether! I think the WRU should start sending tickets to all the choirs for the 6N - say twenty - thirty tickets to each Male Voice Choir in Wales. How many would that be in total Say there are 60 choirs - 1,200 - 1,800 tickets (all paid for tickets)! Even if there are 120 choirs, it would be worth it to get the nation singing again!!!!! And then a full choir or two on the pitch, interchanging every game, to lead the anthem etc. Even with the biggest choirs being on the pitch, it would amount to no more than 100 - 200 extra tickets (these would have to be free tickets). It may even help the choirs to recruit in the 25-35 age range - men who have settled voices who need tickets and need a life after the rugby days are over. Male Voice Choirs are incredible fun - and if they were sure of tickets through them, they may well join! The above plan would get people singing. Print the words in the programme instead of the usual useless drivel. Put words on the screen, and flash a song up on the screen regularly during the game.Flag
