    Comments: I'm with you, when you are right, because right now I'm going through the samething and the wife get's upset with me because her dead beat husband is back and forth to court for non-payment of child support.I read your petition and I really want to start one up in Alabama because our laws are so acrewed up here, if the father pays $12.00 a month and he is suppose to be paying $200.00 a month it is okay with them that he is paying anything, and I feel like that is so unfair, and I feel like it is not our jobs to be tracking the non-custodial parent down when we have given all the information that we have, because if we have to look for him, find out where he is working and then get the address, then we need part of their paychecks.PLEASE e-mail me and send me more information at tyrasmith@bellsouth.net

    Comments: I have a judge in sumner co. that will not go by the guidelines...ever.My daughter's dad now owes before any interest in tacked on over 41,000.00.Maybe we also need some new judges that will abide by the laws that are put into place.

    Comments: I am the parent of threee small children that i am taking care of myself right now. With my daughters dad its a never ending battle for him to take on his responsibilities for her, we have been to court numerous of times and he'll pay for a while then stop.

    Comments: I have three kids and only get support for one. I have to make ends meet with my housekeeping wages and the other support. Its hard to explain to my kids why only one child a month can get a new outfit. We barely keep our heads above water as it is and then I have my medicaid getting canceled cause I work but I dont recieve support to afford insurance. I live in a two bedroom apartment. I sleep on the couch so that my son can have a room away from his sisters. I feel like I am drowning.

    Comments: I have been a single mother of 10yrs with the "father" being in and out with child support and choosing not to be a part of her life. She is having a hard time with this especially since he lives 20 min away. He hasnt seen her in 3 yrs and before that was 1 year of in and out and before that was another 2 years gone. We have been in and out of court and he has been given less and less time with a slap on the wrist, but my daughter has a life time of neglect and trying to recover from the damage he continues to create. The courts need to be tougher and do what is right for the children!

    Comments: I am a father that wants to see his daughter. her mother continues to feed bad things to her, she had the courts believing that my new wife and family were mean to our daughter, which was on the mothers benefit to say since our daughter was not at court to tell the truth. I just hope to have one day where judges take into consideration on what the child feels, not the parent that won't let go of the past. and one day stop having all FATHERS look bad because 99.9% of fathers don't care of there kids. and one of your petitioner's that said something about the "FATHER" is my ex-girlfriend.....

    Comments: I have a 8 week old son and my husband threw us out and locked the door the baby has nothing and I have been in the same clothes for a month.He has 2 other children that he says he hates and they are 4yrs and 5yrs old he said he would never pay them a dime and he is getting away with it nothing is being done to him he is in hamilton county is there anything we can do to make these laws stricter its not far he tells the court he has no job but he sells real estate and puts everything in his mothers name to hide his income.This is a pattern for him to get girls pregnant and throw them out and never pay a dime.He wont even see the children and when he goes to child support court he laughs and thinks its a joke it time to STOP these dead beat dads its child abuse.If you know of anyway we can get the laws changed I would be willing to help..whatever it takes

    Comments: I am all to familar with Tn. cild support laws although I live in Ga. my ex move to Tn. after our divioce to get out of paying cs. My children were 12,10,9 at the time of our divioce and now they are grown,married and have children of their own. Although I struggled hard and didn't get any child support as far as money goes from their sorry ass father I had them and they are a thousand times closer too me than they will ever be to him.So you see I really did have my child support after all.All of these dead beat sorry ass parents that does not pay their child support like they are suppose to they are really hurting them selves to in the long run.They are missing out on being involved in their childrens lives and that is something they can not ever get back!!Put my name name on your petition I am proud to sign it,but remember you too have have your child support as long as you have that child!     Comments: I am in the same situation. I live in Hamilton County and warrants have been issued for my ex-husband for non payment of child support. I am told by our local office that they are having a hard time finding him yet when I find him and call them to give an address they say that is contracted out and there is nothing they can do with the information. My exhusband owes over 38,000 for our children. It is very upsetting that this is a felony and people that are suppose to be helping me collect this support act like it is nothing. I am a veteran of the Iraqi war and thought until now that the government would help. This is not true. It is funny I hear of people going to jail for nonpayment in other states why is it that Tennessee doesn't care

    Comments: I too have dealt with a deadbeat parent for years. Even as single parents we are raising the next generation and it is unfair for individuals to be able to continue on with their life without consequences. Our government needs to crack down on these deadbeats make their life the living hell that they often inflict upon their child or children when they do not pay. The time has come for our government to take a stand and to form a tacticle team much like SWAT and track down these deadbeats.

    Comments: My ex owes $22k and counting. He had been avoiding the situation but slipped up and came back into Alabama. I had a warrant out on him and thankfully the police picked him up. But I have a feeling the whirlwind has just begun. I just want justice for my children. Deadbeat Dads need the fullest extent of the law. Quit slapping them on the wrist and make them be responsible for their actions.

    Comments: My ex-husband stopped paying when he got remarried. I have been into court three times now and they let him off every time because he just pays enought to get released. He wastes his time on a failing self business and won't go and get a real job. No payment of support yet all the joint visitation he is entitled to. So sad.

    Comments: My 39 year old ex husband, after 5 years of marriage and two children now refuses to help support our children at all. We seperated almost two yers ago and have been divorced for almost a year and he has been ordered to pay and owes over ten grand already but doesn't care. This is not right for me or my children, because of him doing this I now have to work two jobs just to make ends meet and if it was not for my family's help i could not do it.
