My son is 17 months old and he has had the last name of lant.When my son's father and I went to court on 11/20/08 ,he changed his name to laforrest.his dad might have seen he 4-5 times his whole life.when the judge orderd him to pay child support,he decided to change his name to his.but at first in the begining,he said qoute unqoute (I don't want the KID!)so far on this day,12/14/08 I have not spoken with him. I have also found out this morning he has moved to michigan. I myself think that if he is going to stay out of his life that my son should have my name. he is not going to know his bilogical father,however my husband has been taking care of him, and is being called dad. so please see it in the bottom of you'r heart to agree with me and my family to have his name back to his known name LANT. thank you dearly kimberly, Aaron Kaleb's mother
