The children who are used as pawns by the alienator are BADLY DAMAGED people, and have virtually NO CHANCE of having successful relationships when they grow up.Flag

Men and women are the perpetraters. A lot of court time could be saved if traned councilors looked for the evedance of perwntal alienation and give resedency to the person who is most likley to ensure the children are kept in touch with all significant people. as it stands the court gives the perpetrator of theFlag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 27, 2010Country: AustraliaComments: I have to disagree. I think the current system is fair. The Family Court made the absolute best decision in regards to custodian issues for my son whom has grown up to be a fabulous boy. His father was just suiting himself when it came to arrangements with the children and assess visitations and phone calls. Often did not call and stopped calling altogether and visited my son when he felt like it. Was never what my son needed. Always about himself. My Ex spent a lot of money fighting me in court, just so he could get a better split of the family assets. He used the older children in a Psychologists Report and manipulated them away from me prior to this, using his money. He gave me no access to the older children. And his intention was to take the third child. All over money. the Family Court could see exactly what this man was all about. He had no time to give these children and nine years later still to this day has no time. Still all about money. I was given sole care of our youngest child, he is now 18. I fed him, clothed him, educated him at a Private school and most of all loved and cared for him. The property split ended in my favour, much to his displeasure. He could have had shared care if he was prepared to share. He was not. He wanted all three children to live with him and I to have none. He stopped having contact with the youngest son only 6 months after the property settlement and Final Orders were drawn. Does not ring him, arrange to see him, does not send him presents on his birthday, nor Christmas. So what does this tell you about this man's idea of fatherhood and his shared care theory. This is not a man and this is not how a father should behave. Child support has always been a battle to get and he is still in arrears. I know shared care is not always about the settlement money, but in most instances it is and in this situation it most definitely was for him. He had no intention of looking after this boy of mine and still does not. Leaves everything to me. My partner and now fiance has been more of a father to my son than his real father will ever be. We have 5 children between us, 4 of the 5 are living separate and successful lives. They worked him out eventually and visit me often. My point here is, shared care works for some and it does definitely not work when one of the parents gets nasty. The children should not be used as pawns when settling property issues and custody arrangements. It is not there divorce. They did not ask for it. They want stability and consistency in their life. They don't want to be pulled from pillar to post. They have their own issues and school to deal with let alone our problems. Think of them first.Flag
