Your construction company, Eagle Valley company has a duty to protect residents in our neighborhoods from silica exposure during concrete cutting. OSHA, The American Lung Association, Constructionworkers,net, and everyone who knows concrete say that what you are doing is very, very dangerous. Our children have continually been exposed to high levels of airborne respirable crystalline silica that are above the exposure limit over the past sixty days. YOUR COMPANY PRESIDENT came to our home, hung his head at the sight of our daughters head being swollen, and eyes swollen shut. Two days later you were back to illegally cutting concrete directly in front of their windows, GENERATING HUGE CLOUDS OF TOXIC DUST during the day, and under the street lights at night. My wife is newly pregnant and coughing now with mucous. My chest is burning now with mucous. Our 1 year old is coughing deeply now with a swollen eye and face. Our 11 year old is on Emergency room standby from the doctors. We have tons of video and pictures, you know it and still continue trying to beat your construction deadline at the cost of our family. Studies show that concrete cutting generates airborne silica levels well in excess of safe levels, and it kills! We have been living in a cloud of that toxic dust for weeks now with no end in sight. Our little girls eyes have been completely swollen shut, they're coughing, have infections, my wife is coughing and now my chest is burning with thick mucous. We have researched and found that effective controls are available to protect residents within your construction zones, most especially pregnant women and small children should be kept from harmful exposure. This dangerous work should be conducted in a manner that minimizes and adequately controls the risk to others and in that you have failed miserably. As you know, concrete contains a high percentage level of silica and other dangerous compounds. Your company has been cutting concrete without the use of proper dust controls for over two months, directly in front of our home. The residents in our neighborhood have the right to a safe and healthy environment, regardless of their age, race, ethnicity, or socio-economic status. Children and pregnant women deserve special protection for many reasons. Special effort should be made immediately to protect children and pregnant women from environmental hazards such as concrete dust. "We can no longer behave as though all environments were created equal. (EPA) Children especially bear the brunt of environmental pollution in our most polluted environments, and they must be protected."

PLEASE DO A BETTER JOB ABIDING BY THE CLEARLY DEFINED PREVENTABLE MEASURES GIVEN YOU BY OSHA, AND OTHERS. OUR LIVES LITERALLY DEPEND ON THAT!
