I think that there should be a lot more being done about Child abuse. I have noticed that there have been a tremendous amount of walks towards breast cancer and diabetes.  I know that breast cancer or any type of cancer is very deadly and very scary but, so is child abuse!  I believe that we should have walk’s to try to bring attention to this serious act. Just imagine being terrified of the only place where you are suppose to be and feel safe.HOME.  When I come home, that is the only place where I feel like I can be myself. I can’t imagine coming home terrified about what my mother or father is going to do to me.

I was reading this book called a Child Called “It” by David Pelzer. He comes home and is beaten every day and forced to drink ammonia. One day David Pelzer’s mom totally lost it and stabbed him 2 ½ inches into the child’s chest. She would starve him and he once did not consume any food for a whole 2 weeks! You may think that David Pelzer is the only boy this may have happened to but this is not true at all. This happens to kids across the globe.
