   Comments: Dear Madame (or ma'am, if you prefer ^^), Our friend (Chii to us) has been hoping to attend Animethon XII for the past year now. To me, it seems rather unfair to pull her away from something she has been anticipating for so long and building her hopes up about. How important is it for her to be at this family reunion Will she know anybody Will there be a point to her missing something she has her heart so set on just to go and meet a number of people she doesn't remember She has people counting on her for at least one day at this convention; she will play an important role in a group cosplay, one which would be hard to fill should she not be there. As well, there are many people who are heavily anticipating meeting her for the first time, myself included. Your daughter has a very fun, interesting, bright personality and I would love to see her having fun at Animethon with all her fellow anime fans as opposed to awkwardly standing around with people she doesn't know. This might sound like an insensitive request to you, but I assure you, I am trying to be sensitive. I am sure this family reunion is important to you, and you want your daughter there to experience it with you. But you do have to take her feelings into account as well. To me, it sounds like she truly would rather be at Animethon on that particular weekend; her feeligns should have _some_ bearing on your decision, right Thank you for taking the time to read what is most likely the longest entry on the petition. ^^;; Sorry about that. I just feel strongly that she should be allowed to make her own decision about what she wants to do.

   Comments: Christy is an invaluable member of the anime community (as she has proved time and time again), and I'm certain a lot of people would be disappointed if she was not to attend Animethon. Also, I am sure that the experience of such a great event is a very fascinating and fulfilling thing for an anime obsessed person like her, so please don't take it away from her.
