Remove Photo Radar From Chestermere

147 Signatures Goal: 250

I think that the photo radar in chestermere has gotten out of hand. I have seen it on several roads around chestermere. We need to do something to influence town council to stop using photo radar in Chestermere, Alberta. Personaly i do not see it is away of reducing speeding. People are forced to pay fines with no demerits. This form of deterent is almost uneffective. To many people this seems to be a "cash cow", a way for the the Town of Chestermere to make money. We pay our taxes, and i beleive that is enough. I think its time for our voices to be heard. Sign this petition if you are against the use of photo radar in Chestermere!

I was told it isnt even managed by the police. Its contracted out to private contractors to set up the vehicles and farm money via photo tickets.
