Comments: Chesapeake Wine, as well as Bin 604 and the Wine Source are all good neighbors and assets to their respective neighborhoods. If an exception cannot be made under the BD-7 license, then a new license type should be created for this type of business. The goal of Transform Baltimore is to make Baltimore a better place and to make these businesses comply with the new BD-7 requirements will run counter to that goal. I am in general, in favor of the goals of the Transform Baltimore initiative, but let's get it right! Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Comments: Chesapeake Wine Company was one of the earliest tenants in the revitalized neighborhood of Canton, helping that community gain its present character and welcoming new businesses to the area. CWC, operated with integrity and community spirit by its owner Mitchell Pressman, continues to draw new residents to this neighborhood from throughout the city and beyond. Please consider modifying the legislation to spare unintended harm to neighborhood jewels like CWC.

Comments: From their beginning Chesapeake Wine Company (CWC) has been an exceptional neighbor, and highly supportive of Baltimore City. They are a valuable member of our small business community and it is imperative they be allowed to continue operating free from the harmful constraints of this code update as it is presently envisioned. While I respect the intent of this measure, the reality is that cherished institutions such as CWC are a key part of what makes Baltimore City life so attractive to begin with. So while this measure seeks to compel more people into the city, it ironically undermines one of very reasons they would want to stay and live here. I sincerely urge Baltimore City to allow CWC to continue operations under the current zoning code as a BD-7 License.

Comments: I think that there is confusion about the what and the where of bad element and where there is "outlet density". We should have an honest conversation about these issues. The CWC is a responsible outlet and neighbor and I support it's right to continue to operate as it is.
