Comments: we must do something substantive to address the real problems in the public schools and reduced class size is critical to student success. schools are not corporations and students and teachers are not interchangeable cogs.

Comments: I was shocked that this was not put on the ballot; small class size is a proven way to improve a child's education!

Comments: I signed the petition to put the question on the ballot. I know that smaller class size works because I have seen it at work. I work at Brooklyn School for Global Studies and my son graduated from there. At first it was a great school because it maintained small class sizes but has deteriorated since class sizes have grown. How can you teach disadvantaged youngsters when the teacher can't give these students the intensive attention they need

Comments: My daughter has over 34 children in her 6th grade class at IS 89 in Batttery Park City. This is way too many--she is being deprived of the attention she needs and deserves in order to do her best. Overcrowding breeds bad behavior, and discouragement in our schools. Small class size matters way more than any new curriculum, more than small school size. Thanks Cheryl Moch
