I want to be emancipated. I am 17, and I have a daughter. My mom adds so much more stress then I need. She tries to parent the way she parented me and my sisters, and if I don't do it that way then I get yelled at. She has threatened to adopt my daughter from me just because we were getting into a fight. I have a place to live other then here, and I will be able to make my own money. If I stay living here I don't know how much more I can take. My mom will yell at me if my daughter starts crying for just a few seconds, and all babies cry so I don't understand why I get yelled at. On top of having a daughter of my own she makes me run my little sisters everywhere and cook for them, and pretty much be their parent. I help her with her work sometimes, and she blames me whenever she's late even though it's because she waited until last minute. If I live on my own, i will be able to raise my daughter the way I want too without the unnecessary stress.
