Changing the Affordable Care Act to Save Lives
Currently, more than 1.56 million Americans, or one out of every 200 people, are homeless just in the United States. Out of those 1.56 million homeless people, nearly all of them do not receive healthcare. One of the main organizations that support this problem is called Medicaid. However, Medicaid is not available for everyone who is poor and homeless; it is only available for those who either have children, have a proven disability, or is a specific age or gender. This is stated from the Affordable Care Act. Some states have chosen to expand Medicaid so that it is available for everyone who is suffering from poverty, but some states have chosen not to do so. This petition is or the Congress to change the Affordable Care Act so that all poor people in the US can have access to Medicaid.
