The students at Warrensburg Junior Senior High School request a change in the school's cell phone policy. The policy right now makes it so that we, the students, can not even have cell phones in our pockets during school hours. The phones have to in our locker or not even brough to school. This is an unreasonable and outdated policy. The students should be able to carry their phones or iPods on them for the sole reason of just in case. Parents could be sick, accidents could happen, afterschool plans could be changed at the drop of a dime, etc. If we can't have our phones at school, then how are we to find out?

We, the students at Warrensburg Junior Senior High School, propose a more modern change to our school cell phone policy. We propose that students be allowed to have their phones on them, at the very least. We're not proposing a change that involves us text messaging and calling freely, we're proposing a change that lets us carry our phones on us for family emergenices and just in case situations.
