Burritos are tasty (i.e. the food item, not a small donkey). We all love burritos. U.S. has a long-standing, unofficial love with the food stuff and many would consider it more American than hot dogs or apple pie.

A recent study by the U.S. Government on energy consumption recently discovered that the average American consumes around 148,600,000 BTUs of energy each year, which is equivalent to the energy contained within 31,226 burritos. http://energy.gov/articles/how-much-do-you-consume
Let's face it - it makes the concept of energy consumption much more understandable since we all know exactly how much 31,226 sweet, sweet burritos would look (and taste) like. In an effort to make energy more approachable by even the tiniest and simplest of humans, let's cut to the chase and simply make the U.S. system of measurement 'burritos'.
Weight? Distance? Mass? Yes, it can all be measured in burritos. Instead of a boring story that begins, "Man, I just ran 2.6 miles today...", imagine saying instead, "Man, I just ran 18,304 burritos today!" Way more impressive, right?

Or, you are looking to buy a bag of oranges at the local market. Instead of the bag saying "Weight: 5lbs", it says "Weight: 10 burritos". You'll think. "I'm def gonna buy those oranges now!"

Let's get real. Life is better with burritos. Embrace it. Sign this petition. Thank you :)
