The government has done nothing to allieviate the inheritance tax threshold burden on dependents. The levels have not changed since 2009 when the property market hit record low levels. Not to address this is tantamount to a cynical ploy by government to surreptitiously amass funds that could be considered to be a possible breach of human rights.
