Currently Florida law states if you make calls to anyone and they find them harassing they can press charges against you under fl state statue 365.16 Obscene or harassing telephone calls. This law does not currently exclude anyone. My proposal is to exclude the father/mother of a child in common when the phone call is for the express intent to communicate with or about the child. Currently if the Mother/Father finds these phone calls harassing and ask you not to call and you call again they can press charges, and it is the judge/district attorneys decision what happens after that. Please help me change this law so that one parent can not use this law to exclude the other parent from the child's life.
