Intro: I have played this game for 8 years, recently I've noticed a problem that actually dates back to when Konami ended their business partnership with UpperDeck. The Problem: The problem we face is simply playing the game (without fighting!). When Konami ended their relations with UpperDeck they eliminated all previous ruling and deemed them unofficial. When they did this they neglected to formulate new rulings for those cards. Instead they printed "Errata" which although basically say the same thing as the previously official rulings, players of the game take it upon themselves to interpret the cards as they see fit and to whatever is in the player's best interest. Key point: Errata doesn't work. The reason rulings were created in the first place is because players would misinterpret or manipulate the text on the cards. All "Errata" does is add more text to the card for players to work with. Rulings have far more power and referanceability than "Errata" ever will. Rationale for Konami: Years ago McDonald's saved millions by decreasing the standard number of pickles on each burger by 1 (that's right costs add up). Ink is far more expensive than a jar of pickles, how much could you be saving by ending "Errata" (which I've explained does nothing) and implementing rulings (which would cost nothing more than the salaries you are already paying). It would also save on customer support, the amount of incoming rulings emails would decrease substantially. Which would in turn allow a higher customer response. I emailed Konami about this several times with no response until I contacted the BBB, which they basically told me off and made it so that I couldn't respond to their response.
