The EFMP ( Exceptional member program) provides respite care for military family members with special needs, A-Com recently changed the contract from a medical contract to a non-medical contract. This effects alot of familiy members, alot of us military families have children like my Jr that requires skilled nursing care,because he has a trach, g-tube, vent, nissen, port, and he is wheel chair bound the non-medical contract can not provide a skilled nurse to care for my child, so the way it stands he does not have any respite hours, the military tells us not rely on our spouse, because of school, work, drill assingments, field problems, and let's not for get deployments, so how are we supposed function if the military takes away from out families, let's show support for our EFMP families!!!
