    Comments: I had many ancestors that served under both armies in this battle. This is sacred ground that should not be decimated by the rolling wrecking ball of sprawl. The Commonwealth of Virginia seems to have have a total lack of respect and disregard for her countryside and her historical treasures. Please do not turn central Virginia into what Loudon and Fairfax have become. You are subsidizing the developers and special interests at the expense of future generations who respect the history of the Civil War's most strategic masterpiece.

I spend a great deal of time in your county and have watched it's roads turn into traffic jams and it's fields turn into parking lots. Please save this site for our children's sake. So they may visit the sites where their ancestors gave their all for OUR country. Now more than ever our children need US to set the example! Thank you.

The land which that is scheduled to be bull-dozed is not just any old field...It is sacred ground on which Americans shed their blood in valiant defense of the right as God gave them the light to see it. I desperately hope that this precious piece of our national heritage will not be sacrificed in the name of the almighty dollar.
