Dear Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara, Mr. Junichi Masuda, and staff from Nintendo, Creatures Inc., Game Freak, and The Pokémon Company,
Pokémon is a game series that is known for being suitable for any generation. From children picking up their first to adults who have been with the series since its first generation, everyone can play and enjoy the games. However, core games from 6th Generation of Pokémon had very little challenge for the more experienced players. We like the idea of Pokémon being a game that can be enjoyed by everyone, but it lacks a challenge we had in older games of the series.
We want the new games, Pokémon Sun & Pokémon Moon, that are coming late this year (2016), to have a feature that could make the game challenging for us experienced players, so we have a humble request: We would like a Challenge mode, like the one in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, in the latest generation of Pokemon, one that is available from the start of the game.
We are thankful for all of the great experiences Pokémon has given us so far, and we hope that you will consider veterans and beginners alike as the franchise leaps into its next generation!

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 were some of the best Pokemon games to date because of their adaptive difficulty. Challenge mode was easily my favorite feature of the games and I was very disappointed when I learned that it was not going to be in the 6th Generation. Please give us a challenge again!
The games need a good AI for high-level trainers first and foremost, one that takes your Pokemon and actions into account and tries to actively avoid defeat. Their teams also need good movesets and EV training to give us veterans a decent challenge.
Been a fan all my life, and would love to see the games have a mode in which you need some strategy to actually beat the game instead of just being hand-holded throughout the entire story.
As the other Anon said, it'd be nice to have a challenge/hard mode from the start. While B2/W2's Challenge Mode was a good start, it was sorta disappointing going through Challenge Mode since you already knew their Pokemon from the first playthrough, losing a lot of the challenge.
An optional difficulty setting available from the beginning of the game would be awesome. I don't like steam rolling through a game, it's just not fun. Plus, difficulty settings in RPGs are almost a staple for most franchises.
Please We have all grown up with the pokemon games and we view them as easier because of this please allow optional difficulty
I know Sun and Moon are long since released, but PLEASE make an easy and a hard mode for the next pokemon game and all following pokemon games.

Lots of RPG's have difficulty modes, and Pokemon should be no different. Part of the thrill from earlier games was the sense of accomplishment when finally overcame a hard challenge, a challenge that was simply not present in X and Y. I'd love to have that challenge reintroduced in Sun and Moon.
