Comments: As a Type 1 Diabetic, I just want to be able to live as close to a normal lifestyle as possible, being able to take a run, or eat something knowing with in an instant if I will have to deal with it instead of risking shock, or passing out. Mentally and physically it just helps so much.

Comments: A CGM would greatly improve my health and perhaps save my life. I've been found unconscious three times and once passed out while I was driving. I worry that someday a very low blood sugar will cost me my life.

Comments: Finally got an insulin pump after 20 years of type 1. Glad that process went through, even though the insurance will hardly pay much of the cost (2500 deductible, then they pay 60%.) Received CGM denial letter last week, despite months of records ranging from 40s to 400+. Have been as low as 28 since then. Can't understand why an insurance company would want to deny such an effective preventative tool. (Except that by the time long term damage sets in, I'll probably be on Medicare and HealthPlus won't be the ones covering those costs.)
