| 407 | Greg Flick | On June 29th I will be forced to sell worthless stocks as a result of a take over and have to pay over 24K in taxes baseed upon a phantom income.
I was not playing the market. The market fell out while I was exercising my options and the result is a huge debt. |

| 413 | Lynda Christie | Tundra the company I used to work for has been sold to IDT, apparently they will issue cheques for my Phantom shares, purchased at 2.50, without knowing about this market value the day I took ownership, the stock was at 54.00. I was laid off 2 years ago, I am now in school for skills retraining. I do not have this kind of money. I am 61 years old, how can they do this to me? or anyone else |
| 414 | Henry Chow | This is unfair to tax income that never was and can never be realized. The basic principle for just taxation is to tax the incomes received in cash or services received. This is a balant and ill move for Canadian Government to grab cash from honest law abidding Canadian citizen. I hope Canadian government will do the right thing to preserve the principle of fair taxation. |
| 415 | allison christie | this tax law is not only unfair, its burdenening those who have already lost their jobs again canada dis[plays th case for the rich get richer and the poor get poorer |
| 416 | Don Raycroft | Please look at this. This the fianancial ruin of many hard working tax payers in Canada. It leaves them no choices. Of course the execs have lawyers and accountants to deal with so once again they walk away with their pockets stuffed at the expense of the little guy |

The basic principle for just taxation is to tax the incomes received in cash or services received. I hope Canadian government will do the right thing to preserve the principle of fair taxation by correcting this flawed tax law. |

| 432 | Anonymous | The precedent has already been set. A group of JDS employees have received exemptions on a similar situation. The government cannot possibly give only them an exception on a tax law that is so obviously flawed. Everyone must contact their MP and start making noise!
What is worse is, the government is taking this money and bailing out the auto sector in Canada. |

| 444 | Tanya Oleskevich | I am a hard working, university educated, gainfully employed professional scientist in the high tech sector (telcom, JDSU). I have been employed full-time for 26 years, and have paid taxes in full each and every year.
The current legislation, should it not be modified, will bankrupt me and destroy any savings that I have towards supporting myself through retirement.
This tax was inadequately researched when it was legislated, and the consequences are destroying the lives of hardworking, tech-sector engineers and scientists. |
| 445 | Sam Ben | It may well be that our means are fairly limited and our possibilities restricted when it comes to applying pressure on our government. But is this a reason to do nothing? Despair is nor an answer. Neither is resignation. Resignation only leads to indifference, which is not merely a sin but a punishment.
