The market is officially set to return to our neighborhood this spring. Seeing this institution restored reminds me that persistent community advocacy truly carries weight. We look forward to seeing everyone gathering at the new plaza location soon.

Update: February 23rd, 2016

Century City Farmers’ Market Re-Opens Spring 2016! It is only a stones throw from our original location.

Raw Inspiration, a California Certified Farmers’ Market, and 10100 Santa Monica are pleased to announce the re-opening of the Century City Farmers’ Market.

“While the Farmers’ Market will no longer be in the exact location that our vendors and patrons are used to,” said Jennifer McColm, the head of the Farmers’ Market organization, “10100 Santa Monica has kindly and generously offered a space for the Market, immediately adjacent to its former location.”

“With 10100 Santa Monica’s involvement, the Farmers’ Market will continue its decades-long tradition of serving residents and office tenants alike with local, fresh produce and artisan food offerings,” McColm said. She added, “… without 10100 Santa Monica stepping in, I believe it would have been the end of a favorite Century City institution. So, I give my heartfelt thanks to 10100 Santa Monica and to Michelle Olenick of Hines, whose determination and support of the Farmers’ Market made this possible.”

The Century City Farmers’ Market will re-open this Spring, with the exact date to be announced shortly, during the usual business hours, each Thursday, between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and will be located in the beautiful, surrounding Plaza grounds at 10100 Santa Monica Boulevard.

"L.A. City Councilmember Paul Koretz, whose 5th District includes Century City, said, “I am truly delighted that the Century City Farmers’ Market is reopening and that its future is secure. The Farmers’ Market is an invaluable community centerpiece because it’s a fun gathering place that makes available wonderfully fresh and healthy food items. I thank Raw Inspiration and Hines Properties for making this possible, and congratulate all of Century City on this great news.”

Thank you all for your support! See you Spring 2016!

The Farmers Market is of significant benefit to Century City tenants, is a boon for the local economy, is supportive of small business owners, boosts organic and sustainable farming and is good for the environment. I urgently support the continuation of the market in Century City.

Why does the market need to be moved? There's nothing on these plazas, no restaurants, cafes or outdoor seating. It seems a perfect location for a weekly market. The farmers market is an enjoyment and convenience that the tenants of Century City look forward to and should remain.

I look forward to the Thursday Farmer's Market. (and my wife looks forward to the flowers I bring home). Ending this arrangement seems like a really bad idea. Why does it have to be moved? Are hundreds of people or businesses complaining?

This is the highlight of our work week - getting a chance to by produce, flowers, and food during a work day with no interruption to work flow is priceless to all of the businesses and their employees in the area. Please do not take our farmer's market away!!

The farmer's market plays such a huge part in my clean eating on a daily basis. I work very long hours and the farmers market ensures I always get fresh produce, at fair prices that support local growers. I don't know what I would do without it.

Having a farmers market in Century City would reflect a sense of community by the businesses in Century City.
