In 1926, a few years after the introduction of the red poppy in the UK, the idea of a white poppy emerged, Their intention was to remember casualties of ALL wars, with the added meaning of a hope for the end of all wars; the red poppy, they felt, signified only the British military dead. The Peace Pledge Union (PPU) took part in its distribution from 1934, and white poppy wreaths were laid from 1937 as a pledge to peace that war must not happen again. We believe that Celtic Football Club should adopt this stance in Remembrance of ALL who have fallen in ALL of the wars throughout the world regardless of Race, Religion and Nationality, Soldier or Civilian. Not only the British Military Dead. If you Agree with Celtic Football Club expressing this open promotion of Peace. Sign this petition. Thank You.   (Please see 'Blog' Tab for links to some information on the White Poppy)
