We the undersigned, stand together as a unified body to see the mascot "Bue Devils" of the Celeste School District changed into the more victorious replacement, "Blue Angels"! We believe that as a christian community and nation, the name "Devils" is in direct opposition to our christian beliefs, and therefore it is a constant hindrance to the body of believers in the one true God, who's children are enrolled at Celeste schools. We believe that many of our children are not participants in sports, who would like to be, simply for the reason that we cannot support the name of the mascot, nor be a part of it. The final stand on this matter is based on the fact that as believers in God, and followers in the christian path, the truth based on scripture states that there not only is a real devil; but that he is not only the arch enemy of God, but that he is also the enemy of our souls. We believe that to have this name is in direct opposition to God our Saviour. We believe for great things to come of this change, resulting in more invlolvement in school activities, sports, and purchasing school clothing.
