Crystal Sexton | Trademarking a disease name prohibits families from bringing awareness to others without fear of being sure for infringment. No organization or individual whether for profit or not should have ownership of a disease, condition, birth defect or otherwise. Allowing such things only adds to the stress a family is already expreriencing.

Carlyn Ryan | My son, Cullen Michael Ryan was born on June 7, 2006 with CDH. He was on ECMO for 12 days and spent a total of 5 and a half weeks in the NICU. He is alive and well and now almost 3! We know how truly blessed we are and remain grateful beyond words every single day.

Brandon Schoonmaker | Limiting the use of the word awareness is contrary to the meaning of the word. So, by proxy they are shamefully limiting the effectiveness of the message. They are profiting from anti-awareness.

Jenni Loudon | What is to stop this becoming a global copyright so that the term s"Awareness" or "CDH" can not be used in the English or any other language without infringing copyright? We should be making the lives of those affected and of those helping easier. Life is hard enough already!

Richard Harrison |
James Overall | Such terms should remian in the public domain to allow those who live with, or care for, the condition to maximise their opportunities for fund raising or improving awareness. Love to Gregor Loudon.
Heather Carri | Without more awarenes raising of this condition, the possibility of fundraising for research is limited. The name of any disease or medical condition cannot be "owned", no-one should have "rights" over names for conditions such as CDH. If anyone has these rights it is the sufferers and their families and the people who work for and on behalf of them including some amazing medical staff and therapists.
