| 102 | Marilyn Thompson Carleton Place, ON K7C 3P1 | The whole question of mineral rights needs to be addressed and rectified. But meantime, a moratorium on all uranium mining is essential. |

| 105 | Anonymous | Until we have dependable monitoring we cannot allow resources to be pillaged in unsafe conditions. |
| 106 | Jim Deacove | I am opposed to uranium mining in particular for all the obvious reasons cited in many well researched studies already done.
I am opposed to mining in this province in general until the mining act is revised.
A mining company, usually of foreign ownership, never mind locally owned, can come on my property without my knowledge or consent, tear the place up, leave it without any repairs or compensation for damage done, and then if something of monetary value to the company is found can proceed to mine my property at will. My property!
Do you see something wrong with this picture?
If not, you don't deserve to hold the office you do.
It is completely reckless to proceed with this outdated and bizarre mining act because there is money to be made.
No other reason is ever given. No attempt is made to show how uranium mining or the destruction of private property contributes to the health and well-being of the citizenry.
Sincerely,
Jim Deacove |

| 110 | Peri McQuay | I ask that the Ontario government address this serious issue immediately. It is disgraceful that no action has been taken to date. |

| 116 | Sharon Way Brackenbury | This area is so pristine and beautiful and I think it has huge potential for environmental enjoyment rather than devastation of its watershed. We need to not be shortsighted and rethink the Mining Act and its outdated historical purpose. |
| 117 | annie clifford | i really don't want a uranium mine. my family has paid taxes in north frontenac for twenty years, and we're very willing to do what a taxpayer can to help stop uranium mining in our area. |

| 130 | Mary McPhee | We must put a moratorium on uranium mining. More effort needs to be put toward renewable energies, not toward mining uranium which will lead to more serious problems with our health and the environment in the future. |

| 132 | Marie Lloyd | It is impossible to neglect research which indicates a need for us to cease the exploration and mining of uranium in Eastern Ontario. Please heed this call for an immediate end to such activity. Please reply to me, indicating your position. |
| 133 | Erin Parker | The government must consider short and long-term effects of uranium mining. Uranium mining poisons our communities for thousands and thousands of years! Do not allow this to happen! |

| 144 | Peigi Wilson | Uranium exploration and mining without Aboriginal consultation is illegal in Canada. The Ontario Government ought to know better. Furthermore, uranium mining and exploration are not sustainable and are contrary to international, national and provincial committments to sustainable development. Finally, uranium exploration and mining are not necessary in order to source nuclear power production. Nuclear power production is NOT the solution to global warming. |

| 149 | C. Bookless | I am against mining uranium for the simple reason that it is neither safe nor healthy for the flora and the fauna, the water and the air, in and around, downwind and downstream from the proposed area. Please heed our petition and have mercy on all the generations who follow in our footsteps. There must be a better way for you to make a living. |
