Joe TimmermansWe borrow this world from our Children, is this something we want to leave for them to live with. I have always believed that clean water is Canada's most valuable resorce and needs to be protected at all costs.

Susan TimmermansMy thoughts are how good is the Government's word?...Save the planet, hybrid cars, conserve energy, reduce pollution, recycle. All great things and yet, they are willing to risk highly polluting our country for the almighty dollar!!...Talk is cheap lets see some action!

Polly BeachThe 2 year theme of 'Thinkfast', a youth retreat prepared by 'Development and Peace', is Canadian Mining Called to Account. Our own retreat is Apr 25/26 at Waupoos Farm near Ottawa. We'll be studying the effects of the Canadian Mining Industry in our own backyard as well as overseas.
Joan BueckerPlease carefull consider all of the presentations put forth against the proposed mining of uranium in Ontario.
Irene KidmanIt is a real shame to our community that our chosen mayor would let us down. We have clean lakes and beautiful lands here and to see it destroyed makes me feel so sad. our wild life will be affected as well.

Christine SlobodaPlease leave the uranium alone. We need to find ways to make clean free safe energy, and stop sacrificing Mother Nature to make bombs thus creating further destruction, pollution and global warming.
Jane MoffatTo Whom it may concern; Uranium poisoning is happening. Not just in Iraq and Afghanistan, but world wide thanks to the huge quantities of uranium released into the atmosphere as a result of the proliferation of recent warfare. Iraqi babies are being born with with appalling birth defects-as are the babies being born to US soldiers staioned there. Uranium is a very dangerous substance. please stop uranium mining in eastern Ontario. When sustaianble solar and wind power are being used to such amazing effect along side conservation in Europe-it has being proven that we can meet are energy needs safely, humanely and sensibly without Nuclear power. By the way...how are Nuclear plants to be run when we run out of fossil fuels? Sincerely, Jane Moffat Toronto
AnonymousThis will be very detrimental to the health of citizens in Ontario.

Karen LeonardWhen 90% of all Canada’s population live within 100 miles of the US border, it is ludicrous to have any mining in these areas. With the vast amount of land Canada has, why can't mining be left to the more uninhabited regions? As well, turning to safe eco friendly sources of energy provided for a healthy future. Lastly, private companies have no right to go onto Native Lands; this is an act of WAR. The Media have been deceptive in relating the facts of this case, reflecting the hidden agendas of an elite few who would benefit at everyone’s else’s expense. Do we live in a democracy or not? STOP THIS MINING MADNESS, BEFORE IT IS ANOTHER LOVE CANAL

jeannine chudzikWe are running out of time on planet earth. uranium mining is going to give us less time as a species, as keepers of the earth. the cnsc will one day be shunned as exploiters more interested in profit than people.
Michael SkladanekWe own a summer cottage in Sharbot Lake and are seasonal residents. We believe that this uranium mining operation must be stopped immediately in order to protect the valuable environmental resources in the Land O Lakes Ottawa Valley regions.
