Comments: In this nation the act of voting (and non-voting) has morphed into a survey of public sentiment. Representative democracy is rarely performed. Therefore, I conclude that any elected individual that seeks to actively execute the will of the people that placed her/him into office is in fact a modern day revolutionary. Those individuals will earn the historical love and respect of their constituents, and if you are of African decent.... ......The Blessings of your Ancestors!

Comments: I have been writing about the plight of the Elderly Exiles of the Diaspora--the tens of thousands of people over 50 who were given a one-way ticket out of town by the feds, and who need help--housing and health care and mental-health care. Please take a stand, and form coalitions with everyone who can help you push this agenda forward. I would not have used the word "failures" but I do want to ask you to act vigorously.

Comments: I applaud this effort to hold CBC members accountable. It's about time. For too long the Black community nationally has not held our representative feet to the fire. We just assumed that we were all on the same page and that our issues would always be at the forefront of Black elected officials agenda. We must seriously analyze the electoral process and how it benefits us economically, socially, and politically. I would also add to the list the current issue involving the Sudan. Our people are being run off their land and slaughtered. We need to put more pressure on this government to support the African Union in order stopped the carnage.
