| 755 | trever | waage | CA | US | It is one thing to make a mistake once but to make it again is unforgivable. The submergence of Glen Canyon is and always has been unnecessary. The resurrection and restoration of this sacred place would be invaluable to the American spirit during these particular times. |
| 756 | Alex | Ubbelohde | MN | US | Areas that one can see amazing natural beauty, Glen Canyon being one, are becoming more difficult to find. I urge you to allow this area to flourish and prosper in its own right and not reflood it with water that could be diverted to other resevoirs.
Sincerely,
Alex Ubbelohde |

| 759 | Shana | Culberson | TN | US | I live in Nashville, TN, but my husband and I make a trek to the four corners area each year. It is like no other place on earth. We cherish every moment we spend at the National Parks, Recreation Areas, and Monuments in that area. We plan to do some hiking this year in some of the newly found canyons and sites in Glen Canyon NRA. It is becoming such an attraction in the outdoor world. I have read several articles in Backpacker, National Geographic Aventurer, and Outside Magazines. Glen Canyon is becoming a destination for hiking and backpacking for people all over the country and the world. Please don't take that away. |

| 781 | Richard | O'Sullivan | CA | US | The flooding of Glen Canyon was a terrible act of decimation - religious, cultural, natural vandalism of the worst kind. |
| 782 | Anonymous | Anonymous | | UK | I was horrified to read of the completely unnecessary destruction of this priceless environmental resource and gladly add my name to the petition list in the hope that it will avert the future flooding of Glen Canyon. |

| 789 | Gretchen | Guice | AZ | US | Flooding of the Glen Canyon area is a travisty and a criminal act upon one of the most magnificent areas I have only had the pleasure of seeing through photographs. I will never see Cathedral in the Desert or Music Temple as it was except in pictures!
We look forward every year to camping and kyaking in what little remains of this magical place below Glen Canyon Dam. It is an escape and balm from the ugliness of man's artificial world. In the interest of money, politics and greed, another priceless gift from nature has been lost. As a side note, we are not " radical tree huggers" but middleclass taxpaying individuals. I am sure there are many more of us who have the intelligence to question the rational behind this dam and the implications of allowing it to exist and destroy our enviornment. At the very least, maintain lower lake levels to allow submerged wonders to regenerate. I am sure a compromise allowing lake use, water consumption and hiking could be accomplished without any drastic radical changes to the status quo. Recognize an error and reverse this grave mistake!
Sincerely,
Gretchen and Tom Guice
